Shraddha Kapoor was last seen in the recent superhit ' Stree 2 ', and has an interesting backstory that many fans might not know. Years before the 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar' actress's rise as a Bollywood star, she was given a major opportunity that she had to turn down, a role opposite none other than Salman Khan .
Although Shraddha Kapoor made her official debut in 2010 with the film 'Teen Patti', she was offered her first film role at just 16 years old, opposite Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the 2005 movie ' Lucky: No Time For Love '. However, Shraddha turned down this opportunity to focus on her education.
In an old interview with Hindustan Times, the actress revealed that she always dreamed of becoming an actress but during the time she was approached for the role she felt she was too young and wanted to complete her schooling and attend college first.
She added, "I don’t think getting offers back then has defined my success. But it was difficult to turn it down and focus on studies because it was such a fantastic opportunity to work with Salman Khan."
However, the charming diva's career took off in just two films after she landed a role in the iconic romantic musical ' Aashiqui 2 ' in 2013, which became a turning point in her career. The film turned her into an overnight sensation and established her as a leading star.
Her last film, directed by Amar Kaushik, 'Stree 2' minted over Rs 790.25 crore globally, making it one of the most successful horror-comedy films. The sequel features returning stars Rajkummar Rao , Pankaj Tripathi , Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee along with new additions like Tamannaah Bhatia.
