Dubai-based brother-sister Jainam and Jeevika, owners of the domain JioHotstar.com, have decided to transfer it to Reliance without any fees. This has put an end to speculations on various social media platforms. This news of Internet domain name attracted a lot of attention on social media in recent days. However, this news ended with service and kindness according to both the brother and sister.
This website ID was registered by a Delhi-based app developer last year amid speculations about the possible merger of Reliance Jio and Disney Hotstar. Last month, the developer had demanded money to fund his higher education at Cambridge University in exchange for the ownership transfer of the domain. The demand was made days after Reliance Jio and The Walt Disney formally announced the merger of their media businesses.
Later, the Dubai-based brother-sister purchased the 'JioHotstar.com' domain from its registered owner. The domain is believed to have been sold to the Dubai-based siblings after Reliance's registered owner rejected the offer. The brother-sister said that the legal team of Reliance IP contacted them and both of them decided to hand over the ownership to them (Reliance).
Information has been given in the post made from an X account named pea bee that a Reliance official contacted the student on October 24. His name has been mentioned in the post as Ambujesh Yadav, who is AVP Commercials. A demand of 93,345 pounds (UK currency) was made from Reliance in exchange for the domain, which is the tuition cost of the EMBA course. This request has been refused by the company.
Someone bought the JioHotstar domain (before the merger) and wants Reliance to fund their higher studies from domain sale.
Really hope they can get a good payout from this! pic.twitter.com/uBjvgVgqZG

It is further written in the post that Reliance has demanded to take legal action against him. He feels that Reliance will consider his demand once again. Such a big business group can help him. He does not have the strength to fight Reliance. He is grateful to all the people who cooperated.
