The trailer of Raj Chakrabarty ’s family drama Shontan has already garnered significant attention, with its star-studded cast featuring Mithun Chakraborty , Subhashree Ganguly , Ritwick Chakraborty , and Anashua Majumdar. The first track, Thakur Thakbe Kotokhon , was released on Saturday.

Composed by Jeet Gannguli and sung by Amit Kumar, the music video sets a tone with visuals from the vibrant Dashami of Durga Puja. The video showcases Mithun Chakraborty performing the traditional dhunuchi naach, while Anashua participates in the boron ritual.

The film revolves around an elderly couple, played by Mithun and Anashua, who find themselves in conflict with their son, portrayed by Ritwick. Mithun’s character takes legal action against his son for neglecting his duties toward his ageing parents, setting the stage for a legal battle. Subhashree plays a pivotal role as a lawyer who takes up the father’s case, adding an emotional layer to the film’s exploration of family, responsibility, and the complexities of parent-child relationships.
