Mrityunjay Tiwari, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, blasted the central government on Monday for the violence in Manipur, claiming that the state’s citizens should be given justice and that the prime minister seemed to have forgotten about Manipur while still having time to tour the globe.
“The way the Central Government has acted, it seems like the Prime Minister doesn’t even remember Manipur,” Tiwari told Media. Even the chief minister and all the other ministers feel insecure over there. In this case, it is reasonable for them to stop supporting. That regime ought to be overthrown. Why is the President’s Rule still not in effect there? If this is a “double-engine government,” why are concerns about law and order being raised? The BJP would have preached about it all day if similar instances had happened in other states.
He also emphasized how long it had taken to get the situation in Manipur under control.
“There are concerns expressed over the government. Regardless of the current administration, the people of Manipur are entitled to justice. A direct obligation falls on the Central Government. The RJD leader said that the prime minister had time to tour the globe but seemed to forget about Manipur.
