When Deepika Padukone talked about her depression

During her episode on Koffee With Karan along with husband Ranveer Singh, she talked about how there was a time that she was in a bad state and was coping with depression. She also said that her mother instantly knew that she needed some professional help. Talking about how Ranveer helped her out she had said as per ABP, “I think he understands mental illness today slightly better than he did back then. The fact that he created a safe space for me to be able to be vulnerable, to be able to share, to be able to communicate because a lot of times you are just feeling so many things, you don’t know how to articulate it.”

Ranveer also went on to narrate how once she called him up and asked him to come and help her since she had a blackout. Ranveer, who reached home realised that Deepika ‘wasn’t all there and something wasn’t right.’ He also had recalled how she used to have bouts of crying out of nowhere.
