Sunita Williams, a member of NASA's Starliner program at the International Space Station (ISS) has garnered attention from all over the world owing to her health and fitness. Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams and Butch Willmore have been stuck in ISS for quite a while now due to a Starliner spacecraft malfunction and the public has been concerned about their health. In between the tensions and videos by Sunita Williams, Joe Biden recently revealed to an audience that his wife wishes to send him to space.
Recently, US President Joe Biden cracked a joke about being sent to space to rescue astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore at the APEC summit in Peru. Biden made the comments while discussing space exploration with Peru President Dina Boluarte Zegarra at a bilateral meeting.

"And I'm a little concerned he may want to send me to space because we got to get some folks back home," the 81-year-old President said as he laughed. The Peru President responded with a polite chuckle to Biden's lighthearted comment.
Originally scheduled for an eight-day mission with Boeing’s Starliner, the veteran NASA astronauts have been stuck in space for nearly seven months due to an issue with the capsule, which made a trip back without them. They are expected to remain in space until February, when Elon Musk’s SpaceX Crew Dragon will finally bring them home.

But then in a video interview on November 12, Williams addressed these concerns, reassuring everyone that her weight has not changed since she arrived in orbit. Williams told people “I think my body has changed a little bit but I weigh the same. There are a lot of changes that go on here. It's funny, I think there's some rumours around that I am losing weight and stuff! No, I am actually right at the same amount and I'm the same weight that I was when I got up here." She also shared that “We have been up here for a couple of months, we've been working out here. We have got a bike, we've got a treadmill and we have got weight-lifting equipment.”
According to NASA, it's too risky to bring the duo back to Earth currently on the malfunctioned capsule. They will now return home in February next year.
