Amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia, Iran-backed Hezbollah group's spokesman Mohammed Afif al-Naboulsi was killed in an Israeli strike on Sunday. Afif had been especially visible after an all-out war erupted between Israel and Hezbollah in September.Mohammed Afif was killed in a strike on the Arab socialist Baath party's office in Beirut, Hezbollah confirmed in a statement, as per AP. There was no Israeli evacuation warning before the strike near a busy intersection that killed Afif. Four people were killed and 14 wounded including two children, the Lebanese Health Ministry said.Mohammed Afif, who belonged to the founding generation of Hezbollah began his media work in 1983. He was close to Hassan Nasrallah who was killed by Israeli forces on September 27, 2024. Afif was announced the head of Hezbollah's media relations department in 2014, while he was working as a media advisor for Nasrallah.Several news agencies shared the visuals from the alleged strike in which Afif was killed. However, Times Now Digital couldn't independently verify the authenticity of the videos.

Recalling the strike, a witness said that he was asleep when the strike happened. "I was asleep and awoke from the sound of the strike, and people screaming, and cars and gunfire," said witness Suheil Halabi. On Sunday night, another strike in central Beirut hit a computer shop, killing two people and wounding 22, Lebanon's Health Ministry said. There was no immediate comment from Israel's military for either strike.This comes after two flash bombs were fired towards Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's home in the northern Israeli town of Caesarea on Saturday. They fell into the garden and neither Netanyahu nor his family were present, reported Reuters quoting police. This was the second such attack at Netanyahu's Caesarea residence. Earlier in October, a drone was launched towards his home, which damaged the window of his bedroom.Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said the incident crossed "all red lines" in a post on X early on Sunday. "It is not possible for the Prime Minister of Israel, who is threatened by Iran and its proxies who are trying to assassinate him, to be subject to the same threats from home," Katz said.Israel has been targeting several buildings in Beirut's southern suburbs, where Hezbollah has long been headquartered, after warning people to evacuate. Several top leaders of the Hezbollah group including Hassan Nasrallah, his likely successor Hashem Saifeddine and many others have been killed in recent Israeli strikes.
