Exclusive- Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2's Harsh Nagar on characters he would like to experiment with: I want to do something in the comedy genre
Harsh Nagar who was last seen in Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 gets candid about the characters he would like to do with upcoming projects . The actor has been away from screens for quite some time. Here's what Harsh has to share:
Harsh deciphers the kind of male-oriented characters are there on TV, "I think TV is the only genre where there are fewer types of roles. Not about the characters that one gets due to their personality but there are only two or three types of male-oriented characters that exist in TV. Either the character is best in everything, the most honest person, or completely positive. Then you have another role where he is a spoilt brat, arrogant and a girl comes in and challenges it. Then he falls in love and transforms into a positive character and the third one is where he is an anti-hero, his story starts with hate and makes life difficult for the heroine and later the hate transforms into love. So I think that is it in TV, I feel there are more male-oriented roles in films than in TV. As TV has always catered more towards women. We can't blame them, it has to do well for them."
On what kind of characters he wishes to play, "What I really feel now, all of us watch reels and want to be entertained quickly. I have done shows that break societal and classist norms, I feel I don't want to do that again. The roles that I now want to do are something that has layers of comedy. I want to do something in comedy as I think you cannot do the same thing in comedy every. So it gives a chance to bring something fresh all the time. Then the work is exciting and is good for your mental health. On TV, you usually give 90% of yourself so it is nice to do things which bring joy and keep you in a lighter mood. Even though for leads there won't be any comedy characters but I would still like to experiment in that genre and I wish that I can do that really soon."
It will be interesting to see what character would he return with.
