Optical illusion personality test: What you see first reveals if you are too caring or self-centered
Optical illusion personality tests have become quite popular these days and are often shared on social media. As the name suggests, these are psychology-based tests that help in understanding a person's lesser-known personality traits . Now, one might wonder how. Well, these strange-looking images have one or more elements, and depending on what a person sees first, a lot can be decoded about them.
For instance, this particular personality test, initially shared by optical illusion specialist Mia Yilin on social media, claims to reveal whether a person is too caring for others or too self-centered. The image has two main elements—a man's face and a question mark—and a person can only see one of them at first glance. Which one a person saw first reveals how they are as a person.
To take the test, simply look at the image above and note what you saw first. Now read its interpretation below:
1. If you saw a man's face first in the image
Then it means that you are someone who deeply cares about your loved one. You are kind-hearted and helpful and people admire you for these qualities. Elaborating further, Mia said on social media, “Honesty is your superpower. You believe in authenticity and doing the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest path." However, on the downside, you also have high expectations from others, especially from your partner. This can sometimes make it difficult for them as they cannot always live upto your standards. “Sadly, not everyone shares your moral compass and it can be disappointing when others don’t meet your standards,” Mia added. Also, since you are too caring about others, this can sometimes backfire on you as people can take advantage of your kindness.
2. If you saw a question mark first in the image
However, if you first saw the question mark in the image, then it means that you are too self-centred and focused. However, this isn't always a bad thing as it helps you stay focussed in your life, which enables you to grow as a person. Explaining this, Mia said, “You are a go-getter. You’re always striving for personal and professional growth. You set a lot of ambitious goals and are willing to put in the work to achieve them.”
But, you can sometimes also be your worst critic which can affect your confidence. You are a perfectionist and wish to always excel in whatever you do in life-- this can make you fear rejection and failure, and sometimes stop you from even attempting things and learning from your mistakes. So, “remember to celebrate your successes along the way and don’t be too hard on yourself,” Mia said for such people.
