Team India and every one of its fans are waiting for when captain Rohit Sharma and star fast bowler Mohammed Shami will finally go to Australia. Rohit Jahan is currently in Mumbai with his family due to the birth of his son and will not be able to play the Perth Test. Mohammed Shami, who was out for a year due to injury, will also not be able to play in the Perth Test. Rohit is certain to return from the second test but the situation is not clear regarding when Shami will return. This is the reason why despite his strong comeback in Ranji Trophy, he is not being sent to Australia at present and now Shami has been included in the Bengal cricket team, where he will be seen playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Bengal Cricket Association announced its squad for the T20 tournament on Monday 18 November, in which the 35-year-old star fast bowler has also been included. From this it has become clear that it will take time for Shami to go to Australia. The tournament will start from November 23, where Bengal's first match will be with Punjab. The team will face Hyderabad in the next match on 25th November. In such a situation, it is possible that Shami will play both these matches and after seeing his fitness there, a decision can be taken on sending him to Australia.

Shami, who got injured during the ODI World Cup last year, was out of the field for the last one year. Due to doubts about his fitness, he was not selected in the squad selected for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, Shami had returned to the field for his state Bengal in the Ranji Trophy only last week. In the match against Madhya Pradesh, Shami bowled about 45 overs and took 7 wickets and led the team to victory. This performance of Shami not only removed the doubts about his fitness, but also showed that he is still bowling sharp.

In such a situation, it was believed that Shami would be immediately sent to Australia, where he would join Team India for the second Test, but at present this does not seem to be happening. A report had claimed that BCCI and the team management do not want to take any haste regarding Shami and want to test his fitness completely, after which his chances of playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy had increased.
