A survey of 2,000 adults who celebrate Christmas revealed that one in five have already wrapped their presents - even before December has kicked off.
A third see themselves as incredibly organised 'early birds', while 18% will leave most of their gift buying until the last few days.
The research, commissioned by Toblerone Truffles for its 'Add a diamond' campaign, found that 34% feel the festive season 'sneaks up on them' every year.
So, are you curious about what kind of shopper you are?
The quiz will ask you a series of questions about your shopping habits, such as when you start shopping, how much effort you put into finding the perfect gift, and how long you spend doing it.
Among those who confess to being late shoppers, 46% blame it on indecisiveness about what to buy, while 28% say they're too swamped with work.
Consequently, a quarter have hastily bought a gift card instead of a more thoughtful present because they left their shopping too late or grabbed a gift from the local corner shop.
Those who finish their shopping well in advance believe it reduces stress (56%) and helps avoid missing out due to stock shortages (42%).
Susanne Nowak from the chocolatier expressed: "Everyone has a different approach to their shopping. Some love the thrill of a last-minute dash, while others prefer to get their work done early on so they can enjoy the season without present-buying hanging over them."
"However, it can be hard to think of what to buy certain people in our lives, so taking the opportunity to do something unexpected will always be welcome."
Almost two thirds have personalised a gift for someone, with 46% believing it makes a one-of-a-kind present. And 45% thought it showed extra thought and effort, with 37% reckoning it creates lasting sentimental value.
Toblerone, has also created a wrapping guide to help the 15% who rated themselves as 'poor' wrappers. Susan added: "Regardless of wrapping ability, there are always little ways you can boost a present to give it that magic touch it might need. Either way, adding some chocolate can elevate a gift from great to perfect."
