‘We will establish relations and then take action’… Policemen raped the woman, then threatened her

A girl living in Orai, Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh made serious allegations against two policemen posted at the police station. The girl alleges that two policemen who came for investigation took her to a room and raped her. Not only this, he assaulted her and when she reached the police station complaining about it, he also pressurized her for a compromise. The girl has complained about this incident to the Superintendent of Police. The Superintendent of Police has handed over the investigation of the case to the Additional Superintendent of Police.

The case is of Orai Kotwali, where a girl living in a locality has given an application to the Superintendent of Police on Monday complaining that she was raped by the landlord. The landlord also looted her jewellery. Complaint about which was made on 11th November, in relation to which on 15th November, constable Anjesh Yadav and constable Ramadhar Yadav, posted in Cobra of Orai Kotwali, received a call on his phone and inquired about the incident.

The soldiers called him to the liquor vend located in Gopalganj and said that he would be given full help. When she reached the local liquor shop in Gopalganj, both the constables told her to go to the office where the statement would be written. When the girl started going to the office with the soldiers, both the soldiers took her to a room. He beat her and threatened her and said that first he will have a relationship with you and then action will be taken.

Police put pressure on compromise

Constable Anjesh Yadav and constable Ramadhar Yadav forcibly removed the woman's clothes and raped her. She told her grandmother about this incident and she reached Orai police station on 16th November, where when she gave the complaint letter, the policemen misbehaved. Not only this, a female constable assaulted him. The woman alleged that the policemen put pressure on her to compromise.

Taking cognizance of this matter, Superintendent of Police Dr. Durgesh Kumar has handed over the investigation of the matter to Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar. He said that the matter is being investigated by the Additional Superintendent of Police and action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts emerge.
