Another ‘cash scandal’ in Maharashtra, officer of Rohit Pawar’s company arrested while distributing money

The issue of distribution of notes in exchange for votes in Maharashtra Assembly elections seems to be coming to an end. There was an uproar when the cash scandal of BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde was revealed, now Mohite, an officer of Baramati Agro, a company of Sharad Pawar's grandson Rohit Pawar, has been caught while distributing the money. Mohite was distributing notes to influence voters in Satara Karjat Jamkhed Assembly. Police have also recovered a list from him. This list has complete details as to whom money has been given and to whom the money is to be given.

Let us tell you that on Tuesday morning, BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde was accused of distributing notes in exchange for votes in a hotel. After this allegation made by Bahujan Vikas Aghadi, a political storm arose in Maharashtra. The matter was not even over yet when an official of Sharad Pawar's grandson Rohit's company was caught while distributing notes. After this, the leaders of both the alliances contesting in Maharashtra elections have started accusing each other.

Police registered 3 FIRs

According to the allegations against Vinod Tawde, he along with candidate Rajan Naik distributed money to the voters at Vivant Hotel in Virar East. For this he had brought Rs 5 crore. Seeing the matter heating up, the police have registered 3 FIRs in this regard. However, Vinod Tawde also gave clarification in this matter. Said that a meeting of MLAs of Nalasopara was to be held. Therefore, he had come to this meeting to explain the model code of conduct, method of sealing the voting machine etc.

10 lakh rupees were found in the hotel

Even before Tawde's statement came, the Election Commission team that reached the spot had searched the hotel. In this, Rs 9 lakh 93 thousand and Rs 500 cash were found from the spot. However, it was not clear who had come here with this money. However, Palghar Collector Govind Maruti claimed that it was BJP leader Vinod Tawde who was distributing the money. Said that after investigation, three FIRs have been lodged in this regard. In this, one FIR has been registered against Vinod Tawde and the other against BJP candidate. The third FIR is registered against the workers of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi.

Voting is to be held on 20th November

Voting is to be held in Maharashtra on 20th November i.e. Wednesday. Before this, cash scandals are being exposed one after the other. First, Rs 1.98 crore was seized from a hotel in Nashik. After this, the Tawde case came and the company official of Sharad Pawar's grandson Rohit was caught with wads of notes. Let us tell you that during the Model Code of Conduct, any person is allowed to keep a maximum of Rs 50 thousand. To keep or carry any amount more than this, necessary documents also have to be carried along.
