After a massive turnout at the trailer launch event in Patna, the film has achieved yet another milestone even before its release.
Pushpa 2 has secured the top position among upcoming films and has successfully crossed the historic $1 million mark in pre-sales for premiere shows in the U.S. This milestone reflects the incredible hype surrounding the movie showing no signs of slowing down.
Prathyangara Cinemas, the U.S. distributor for Mythri Movie Makers announced, “Pushpa Raj’s dominance is reshaping the box office with a new dimension. Another day, another record, another milestone etched in history.”
At a recent event, the filmmakers expressed confidence that Pushpa 2: The Rule would mark Allu Arjun’s first entry into the ₹1,000 crore club.
With a budget of around ₹400–₹500 crore, the movie’s success is crucial to meeting these expectations. Given the pre-release numbers and hype for its Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil versions, the film has already been declared the blockbuster of 2024.
Apart from Allu Arjun, the sequel features Rashmika Mandanna reprising her role as Srivalli, Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat and Sunil as Mangalam Srinu.
Other actors returning from the first film include Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rao Ramesh, Ajay Ghosh, Jagadeesh Pratap Bhandari, Ajay and Kalpalatha. It has also been announced that Sreeleela, the current sensation in Telugu cinema will appear in a special dance number in Pushpa 2: The Rule.
