Zomato is offering the facility of ordering food in advance in 35,000 restaurants in 30 cities. These include cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Ahmedabad. Zomato has named this service 'Order Scheduling'. All you have to do is open the Zomato app and go to the 'All Restaurants' section and click on the 'Schedule' option.
Once you select the desired time and date, Zomato shows you a list of restaurants in your area. From here you can order your favorite food in advance. On the bill page you will get information about the delivery time and when the food will be prepared etc. You can cancel the order up to three hours before the delivery time.
Now you might be wondering whether this kind of service is available on Swiggy also? Swiggy started advance orders in 2018. However, now it has been made clear on the Help & Support page of its official website that Swiggy does not take orders in advance.
