Mumbai: All the political outfits in Maharashtra have finished their vigorous campaigning, aiming at the Chief Ministerial post. This time, Maharashtra has multiple faces to choose as Chief Minister, with Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Agadhi (MVA) having stakeholders within the alliances. Whoever the face will be, voters have prepared to show up at the polling stations on Wednesday. To choose the fate of Maharashtra, the voting will be held in single phase for 288 seats across the state on November 20.
What Time the Voting will StartThe voting will begin on Wednesday from 7 in the morning, and will continue till 6 pm. While the votes will be casted on November 20, the result will be announced on Saturday, November 23. Mumbai Dry Days Voters should note that there will be a dry day on Wednesday in Mumbai, and the rest of the cities in Maharashtra. Anyone found violating the rule will be liable to a legal action. November 18: After 6 pm, no shop owner can sell alcohol. November 19: Due to the voting the next day, there will be complete ban on alcohol. November 20: Sales of liquor will be imposed till 6 pm. No ban on alcohol for the next two days. November 23: Sale of alcohol will be restricted till 6 pm. Mumbai Polling BoothsOut of 10,117 polling booths in Mumbai, 76 stations are those that have historically witnessed less than 10 per cent of average voter turnout. Taking that in account, the civic body has labelled them as ‘critical’ this time, said Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) chief Bhushan Gagrani, reported .Of these 76, Bandra East and Colaba have nine each, with Chandivli having seven. Meanwhile, some are there in Juhu and Malad. However, no polling booth has been identified as vulnerable, which indicates a threat to voters or coercion.
