During his appearance at the Global Freight Summit in Dubai on Tuesday Shah Rukh shared his perspective on failure and how he moves forward with resilience.

Addressing the audience he emphasized the importance of self-belief saying “Instead of dwelling on failures one must trust oneself and find ways to grow”

To illustrate this Shah Rukh cited an example from his career. He explained that if a film underperforms at the box office it isn’t because of any conspiracy. Instead it reflects the film’s inability to connect with the audience.

Shah Rukh elaborated “If you face failure don’t assume your job or work is wrong. Perhaps you haven’t fully understood the environment you’re working in. It’s crucial to grasp how people perceive your work. Even if my product is brilliant if I fail to evoke emotions in the audience it won’t succeed”

When asked if this was self criticism Shah Rukh admitted he dislikes being criticized but values self reflection.

He shared a deeply personal moment saying “I’ve cried alone in my bathroom because I didn’t want others to see my pain. But even then I believed the world isn’t against me. If my film fails it’s not because of a conspiracy it’s because I couldn’t make it good enough. That realization helps me move forward”

The Bollywood icon urged people to rise above disappointment and not view challenges as personal misfortunes. He remarked “Life is about moving forward. Accept that what happens is meant to be and stop blaming yourself entirely. Learn from setbacks adapt and grow”
