Amid the return of the boom in the market, select sectors remained in focus. IT, metal and others are included in this. Will the ongoing boom in the stock market continue in the future? Which factors will be watched? Siddharth Khemka, Head of Research, Wealth Management, domestic brokerage firm Motilal Oswal Financial Services, has issued a note on all this.

Greenery returned to the market!

The stock market registered a rise on November 19. Nifty closed positive after 7 days of selling. However, this rise could not last long. The market slipped sharply in the last hour of the trading session. Nifty closed at the level of 23519. According to reports, there was talk of increasing tension between Russia and Ukraine. The market reacted to this. This tension increased when US President Joe Biden allowed Ukraine to target military sites in Russia. Ukraine used US long range weapons for the attack.

Siddhartha Khemka said that due to geo-political tensions, there was a jump in US bond yields, which had come down recently. Yesterday the broader market outperformed with midcap and smallcap gaining 1-1 per cent. Sectorally, metal, government banking and oil and gas indices also registered a rise.

He told that the shares of government companies were also in focus yesterday. Because there is a proposal of the Ministry of Finance, which can change the rules for dividend payment, share buyback and stock split. Actually, the purpose of this change is to improve the performance and capital management of equities. At the same time, selling continues from foreign institutional investors, who have sold shares worth Rs 31000 crore so far in November.
