In the second phase of Jharkhand assembly elections, 47.92 percent voting took place till 1 pm

According to the Election Commission of India, the single-phase assembly elections in Maharashtra had a weak voter participation of 32.18%, while the second phase of assembly votes in Jharkhand saw a turnout of 479.22% as of 1 pm.

According to figures from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the district of Mumbai city had the lowest voter participation, at 27.73 percent till 1 pm, while the naxal-hit Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra had the most, at 50.89 percent.

Pune 29.03 percent, Nashik 32.30 percent, Satara 34.78 percent, Kolhapur 38.56 percent, Dhule 34.05 percent, Palghar 33.40 percent, Ratnagiri 38.52 percent, Nanded 28.15 percent, Latur 33.27 percent, Mumbai Suburban recorded a voter turnout of 30.43 percent, Nagpur 31.65 percent, Thane 28.35 percent, Aurangabad 33.89 percent, and Pune 29.03 percent.

Sindhudurg had 38.34% of the vote, followed by Wardha (34.55%), Osmanabad (31.75%), Washim (29.51%), Yavatmal (34.10%), Solapur (29.54%), Sangli (33.50%), Ahmednagar (32.90%), Akola (20.87%), Amravati (31.32%), Beed (32.58%), Bhandara (35.06%), Buldhana (32.91%), Chandrapur (35.04%), Gondiya (40.46%), Hingoli (35.97%), Jalgoan (27.88%), Jalna (36.42%), Nandurbar (37.30%), Parbhani (33.12%), and Raigad (32.84%).

Pakur district had the greatest turnout (53.83%) and Bokaro district had the lowest (42.52%) in the second round of the assembly votes, with Jharkhand seeing a turnout of 31.37 percent till 1 pm.

According to the ECI, the turnout was 49.83 percent in Deoghar, 43.16 percent in Dhanbad, 50.28 percent in Dumka, 48.01 percent in Giridih, 48.62 percent in Hazaribagh, 52.21 percent in Jamtara, 51.26 percent in Ramgarh, 52.10 percent in Ranchi, and 47.51 percent in Sahebganj.

Up to 1 pm, the voting turnout for Maharashtra’s Nanded Parliamentary seat was 27.25 percent.

Up till 1 pm, Kedarnath in Uttarakhand registered a turnout of 34.40%, while Palakkad in Kerala recorded a turnout of 40.16%, while by-elections are also taking place in a number of constituencies.

As of 1 pm, the voter turnout for the Punjab bye-elections was 50.09 percent for Gidderbaha, 40.40 percent for Dera Baba Nanak, 28.10 percent for Barnala, and 27.95 percent for Chabbewal.

As of 1 pm, the voter turnout for the Uttar Pradesh by-elections was 36.77 percent in Meerapur, 31.68 percent in Majhwan, 28.80 percent in Khair, 26.67 percent in Phulpur, 41.01 percent in Kundarki, 32.29 percent in Karhal, 36.54 percent in Katehari, 20.92 percent in Ghaziabad, and 28.50 percent in Sishmau.

Voting for the second phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections, which covers the remaining 38 seats, and the single-phase Maharashtra Assembly elections, which cover 288 seats, started at 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

On November 23, the results of the by-election sets for all Maharashtra and Jharkhand seats will be made public.
