The Redmi A4 5G made its debut in India on Wednesday as a budget-friendly 5G smartphone priced under Rs 10,000. This device features a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 6.88-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone houses a 5,160mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
It runs on Android 14, enhanced by the company's HyperOS interface.
The Redmi A4 5G is priced in India at Rs 8,499 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model is available for Rs 9,499. At this price segment, it faces tough competition from the likes of Samsung Galaxy F05 (priced at Rs 6,799) and Poco M6 5G (priced at Rs 7,999).
The smartphone comes in two colour options: Sparkle Purple and Starry Black.
It will be available for purchase on the company's official website starting November 27.

It features a 6.88-inch HD+ (720x1640 pixels) LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the handset is powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
For photography, the Redmi A4 5G is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an additional secondary camera. On the front, it houses a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture.
The smartphone offers up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via a dedicated MicroSD card slot. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Fueling the device is a 5,160mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging, and an 18W charger is included in the box. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and an IP52 rating for protection against dust and splashes. It measures 171.88x77.80x8.22mm and weighs 212.35g.
