Indian Railways is rapidly becoming hi-tech, first Vande Bharat Express and now Railways is going to launch Super App. With the help of this app, passengers will get different services of Railways on a single platform.
Till now, apps like IRCTC were needed for booking train tickets, IRCTC Catering for food and Rail Madad for feedback or assistance, but when this super app of Railways is launched, then along with these services, many other services will also be available with the help of this app.
How will the super app be?
Till now, the IRCTC app has been used to book tickets online and the National Train Enquiry System App has been used to track the train. At the same time, one has to dial 139 for complaints. In such a situation, all these services will start being available in one place with the super app of Railways.
ET report quoted an official of CRIS, an organization that prepares a super app for Railways, as saying that many other services including platform tickets, and train timings will be available in one place with the super app of Railways. According to the information, the work of merging CRIS and IRCTC is currently underway. Let us tell you that CRIS provides technical support to the Indian Railways.
What is the current system?
At present, railway passengers have to use different apps and websites. Like IRCTC for tickets, IRCTC eCatering for catering, Rail Madad for feedback or assistance, UTS for unreserved tickets, and NTES for tracking trains.
