Since we came into government in November 2005, work is being done for improvement in all areas including education, health, law and order, transportation.

CM Nitish congratulated the teachers

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that it is a matter of happiness that the teachers employed in today's program have now become government teachers after passing the competency test. Today he is being given the appointment letter. I wish all the teachers the best. He said that you all know that due to shortage of teachers in the past, from 2006-07, teachers were appointed on a large scale through Panchayat and Municipal bodies, whose total number is about 3 lakh 67 thousand 143.

He said that in 2023, the appointment of new teachers was started from Bihar Public Service Commission in which 28 thousand employed teachers became government teachers. The remaining employed teachers were demanding to become government teachers, so in the year 2023 itself, it was decided that the employed teachers would be given an opportunity to become government teachers by taking a separate minor examination and five chances would be given for this.

CM's instructions to education department

The Chief Minister said that till now two examinations have been conducted. The first competency test was conducted. In which one lakh 87 thousand 818 employed teachers have passed, whose certificates are being examined. Till now, certificates of 1 lakh 14 thousand 138 government teachers have been found correct. Today he is being given the appointment letter. The verification of certificates of the remaining teachers is going on. The education department should complete the work expeditiously.

He said that till now 2 lakh 17 thousand 272 government teachers have been reinstated by Bihar Public Service Commission in two phases, to whom appointment letters have been given. The process of recruitment is going on in the third phase, the result of which was declared last week, in which 38 thousand 900 candidates have passed the examination for the new posts of teachers. 42 thousand 918 candidates have passed the new post of Headmaster. All of them will be given appointment letters after a few days.

Government's focus on education and health sector

The Chief Minister said that we have been engaged in the development of Bihar since 2005. First of all, special attention has been given to the fields of education and health. What was the condition of education earlier? Earlier there was no education, there was a shortage of schools and teachers, hence many new schools were opened and new class rooms were built in many schools. Dress scheme for boys and girls was started in the year 2006-07. In the year 2008, a cycle scheme was started for 9th class girls to go to school, later from the year 2010, cycles were also given to boys.

He said that to promote girls' education, higher secondary schools (10+2 schools) were opened in all the panchayats. Earlier, girls were given Rs 10,000 on passing 12th, which has now been increased to Rs 25,000, whereas on passing graduation, an incentive amount of Rs 50,000 is being increased from Rs 25,000. Now girls are also studying well and the number of boys and girls in schools has become almost equal.
