Jeddah. The mega auction of the IPL 2025 season has been completed and every franchise has prepared their squads. Rishabh Pant was the limelight of the auction, who was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 27 crore. This is the highest amount received by any player so far. Whereas, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the youngest player in the history of the tournament. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore. Ahead of IPL 2025, 10 teams spent Rs 639.15 crore to sign 182 players including 62 foreigners in the auction.
Apart from Pant, Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer were bought by Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders for a whopping Rs 26.75 crore and Rs 23.75 crore respectively. Among other players, Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal were bought from Punjab Kings for the same price of Rs 18 crore each while Jos Buttler was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 15.75 crore.
After the auction, all the 10 teams are looking very strong. It is very difficult to say who will be weak and who will be strong. All the team managers sitting at the auction table had done a lot of homework, which was visible during the auction. Especially the franchises of Lucknow, Delhi and Rajasthan showed great detail in the selection of players. All the teams have to play home and away matches.
