Google Map: A tragic accident took place in Bareilly district of UP on Tuesday due to Google Map. A car fell into Kalapur canal on Pilibhit Road in Police Station Izzat Nagar area, fortunately all three people in the car narrowly escaped. This accident happened when three people were going to Pilibhit in their Tata Tagore car using Google Map. He says that Google Map showed him the wrong path, due to which he reached a disconnected path. Because of this his car fell into the canal.
After the accident, police and relief team reached the spot and pulled the car out of the canal with the help of JCB. Police said all three people were safe and escaped any serious injuries.
Izzat Nagar police station in-charge Dhananjay Pandey said that this accident happened due to Google Map showing wrong route. Despite the road being eroded, Google Map sent them on the route which led to the accident. However, this is not the first case, before this on November 24 also another accident had happened due to Google Map. When a car fell on an incomplete bridge while going from Badaun to Bareilly, three people died.
Use Google Map carefully
It is clear from these incidents that caution should be taken while using digital services like Google Map. Especially when there is construction work on the way or there are problems like erosion, the information on Google Map is not always correct.
