Under the leadership of Praful Patel, Administrator Dadra as Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, the state formation day celebration of Assam Foundation Day was organized under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat on December 2, 2024, commemorating Foundation Day of Assam at Collectorate, Daman.

On the said occasion, the eminent people of the Assam region residing in Daman District were felicitated with Bouquets, Mementos and Sweets by Aarti Agarwal, Deputy Collector (Gen.), Daman.

On this occasion, the Deputy Collector (Gen.), Daman stated that India takes pride in its rich history, culture and heritage. The Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat program aims to enhance interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of different states and Union Territories.

Further, she also said that celebrating occasions like this aims to promote sustained and structured cultural connections in areas of language learning, culture, tradition and music, tourism and cuisine, sports, and sharing of best practices.
