Initially, the police investigated the missing child, but could not find any concrete clue. On Monday itself, Raunak's rotten body was found lying in a street near the house.

This room was in Raunak's house, which was locked and the family members stopped the police from opening it. Later when the police searched this room, a vest was found there, on which Raunak's name was written in ochre. Also, blood stains were found on the stairs and ceiling of the room.
