New Delhi. Big announcements are being made by Aam Aadmi Party regarding Delhi Assembly elections. On Saturday, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal made a big announcement for the Dalit community. Kejriwal has announced Dr. Ambedkar Samman Scholarship Scheme. He said that if the children of Dalit community take admission in foreign universities, the AAP government will bear all their expenses.
Announcing the scheme, Kejriwal said, I want to ensure that no person from the Dalit community is deprived of higher education, for this I am announcing Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship. Now any student from Dalit community who wants to study in top universities across the world, Delhi Government will bear the expenses of the students after their admission.
He further said, this scholarship will also be applicable for government employees of Dalit community. By announcing Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship, we are responding to BJP and Union Home Minister Amit Shah who insulted Dr. BR Ambedkar.
Sanjeevani scheme was announced for the elderly
Earlier, AAP had announced the launch of Sanjeevani Yojana for the elderly. Under this, treatment for elderly people above 60 years of age will be free in Delhi. While announcing the scheme, Arvind Kejriwal had said that I have brought Sanjeevani for the people of Delhi. Elderly people above 60 years of age will get free treatment in Delhi. Delhi government will bear the entire cost of treatment.
