According to news agency PTI, Maharashtra Minister Bharat Gogawale said on Saturday that the Mahayuti government’s portfolio distribution is anticipated to take place throughout the day.
Saturday marks the end of the state assembly’s Winter Session, which started on December 16.
Gogawale told reporters in Nagpur that the portfolio distribution is anticipated to take place today. “We had a breakfast meeting with the chief minister this morning, and the leaders of all three alliance partners met on Friday,” PTI said.
At Raj Bhavan in Nagpur, 39 ministers were admitted before to the Winter Session on December 15 after Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his deputy Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar were sworn in on December 5.
Nevertheless, the Mahayuti administration has not yet allocated its portfolio.
With 230 out of 288 seats, the Mahayuti, which is made up of the BJP, Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party, won a resounding victory in the assembly elections held on November 20.
The head of the Shiv Sena said that all Mahayuti leaders agreed on their portfolios and that whatever choice they made would be accepted by everyone.
According to Gogawale, he hopes to be appointed guardian minister of Raigad, his native area.
“I am confident I will get the guardian minister post for Raigad,” he said.
Why is there such a wait even with the majority? Raut, Sanjay
On Saturday, Sanjay Raut, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), voiced his displeasure with the Maharashtra Cabinet’s portfolio distribution delay and asked the Mahayuti administration why it was taking so long even though it had a sizable majority.
Raut, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), told reporters, “It’s hard to grasp what’s going on in government. Despite the formation of the Mahayuti administration, no portfolio has been assigned as of yet. There are several law and order concerns. Who is responsible? Why is there such a long wait even though we have such a large majority?
