Sector-39 police station of Noida has arrested six accused of cheating by increasing the credit card limit. A laptop, 28 mobiles, 12 silver coins, 4 gold coins, a car and a scooty have been recovered from them. Police said that six cunning accused Amit Kumar, Ravi Kant Maurya, Tej Singh, Vikas Jha, Nagendra Sharma, and Nawab Khan were arrested for cheating by increasing the credit card limit.
It has been found in interrogation that the cunning accused used to call the credit card holders after taking their details. During this, they used to tell people about the offer to increase the credit card limit. After this, they used to send the link to a fake website.
Police said that fake apps were downloaded on the mobile through fake websites. Through the app, all the information related to the credit card was filled in a form by the victims. This is where the whole game of cheating started. All the information related to the credit card of the people used to go to the gang. Through this, the fraudsters used to buy goods and gold and silver coins online.
The police have said that these fraudsters are being questioned and complete information about their gang is being collected. The police have appealed to the people not to fall into such traps. Never share bank or card-related information on phone calls.
