GST Council: Nirmala Sitharaman has given information about the meeting in the press conference of GST Council. He said that many decisions have been taken in the meeting, in which the tax exemption already given on some products has been continued. He said that if black paper is used for agriculture then it will not come under the purview of GST.

The Finance Minister said that no changes have been made yet in the GST imposed on health insurance and term insurance. More consideration will be given to this now. Therefore, no decision has been taken this time. Currently 18% GST is levied on it.

He said that if we talk about the present situation, there is a lot of difficulty in the registration of small companies. For this, the Council has prepared a new concept note. For which some changes will also be made in the Act. No decision has been taken regarding this yet.

He said that there has been no change in the GST applicable on online food delivery. A decision for this will be taken later.
