Delhi Delhi. The Skoda RS 230 made its debut in 2017, while the more powerful RS 245 was introduced at the Auto Expo 2020. Both models gained popularity among enthusiasts, and the new Octavia RS is expected to carry forward the performance-oriented legacy.

The Skoda Octavia, which was assembled in India and sold between 2021 and 2023, was discontinued due to the introduction of BS6.2 emission norms. Although it is no longer available in India, the car continues to be sold overseas, where it has received a mid-life facelift. At the upcoming India Mobility Show, Skoda will showcase the fourth generation Octavia RS to gauge customer interest. Powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 265hp and 370Nm, this performance-focused sedan is expected to be introduced in limited numbers in India later, and will likely come at a premium price as a CBU.

In a recent update, Skoda Auto India has announced a price increase of up to 3% across its entire range of vehicles, effective from January 1, 2025. This price adjustment will affect popular models like Kushaq, Slavia, Superb and Kodiaq. However, the recently launched Kylaq will continue to sell at its starting price till it reaches 33,333 bookings, giving customers a limited opportunity to purchase the SUV at the current price. Skoda attributed the price hike to rising input and operating costs, reiterating its commitment to provide premium vehicles while maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction.
