Sumit Mishra was originally a resident of Bihar. He was an old student of Banaras Hindu University. Sumit started as a director in the year 2016 with the film 'Amrita and I'. In the year 2020 he made Khidki. Then in 2022 he directed 'Agam'. He slowly started working as an art director. Apart from this, he was associated as art director in many projects like Alif, Naagin-3, Madhubala, Nakkash, Wake Up India. Apart from this, he was also a professional painter.
