Bollywood actor John Abraham has done many films in his career. He has been entertaining fans for more than two decades. He is known for making patriotic films. Apart from this, the actor has also been raising his voice for social causes. Recently again he has done something similar. The actor has mentioned about a film festival based on animals in Nepal. Also, it has been requested to the Nepal government that this program should not be allowed to happen.

Praising Nepal's art, culture and beauty, John Abraham wrote in his letter sent to Nepal Ministry of Culture - I am not writing this letter to you because I am an actor and I am an advocate of animals, but I am writing this letter because Nepal is a country which is close to my heart. Whenever I look at your beautiful country, I remember its rich culture and hospitality. Nepal is a country that I admire deeply and that is why I am writing this letter to you today.

John Abraham came out in support of animals

Taking his point forward, John Abraham said- I have recently come to know that Chitwan Elephant Festival is starting in which animals face a lot of problems. I heard that a plan has been made to play games with animals in this film festival. I can understand that this event would also have its own traditions in which such games would have been included, but despite this, I would like to very seriously draw your attention towards the harm caused to animals by these games.

These animals are very sensitive and if you indulge them in such games, they will not only face physical problems but they will also feel mentally and emotionally uncomfortable. Whatever it may seem to you, these animals are given rigorous training to prepare them for these games. Elephants have always been considered a symbol of strength, compassion and intelligence. They have always been our national heritage. Today, Nepal has a chance to set an example and show the world how animals should be respected and their conservation should be considered their responsibility.

Requested to cancel the festival

In the end, John Abraham concluded his speech by saying – I very humbly request the Honorable Minister that Nepal should think about ending such game of elephants. Apart from this, we should change our own old beliefs with time so that the feeling of kindness and compassion gets strengthened and we think about respecting everyone as a human being. I will appreciate this step of Nepal and I will appreciate that Nepal continues to lead the field of tourism and become popular throughout the world. Nepal has always held a special place in my heart. I am confident that Nepal will set an example for the world. Whatever your decision is please let me know.
