Allu Arjuns Pushpa 2 has been making waves ever since its release. The film was such a hit that it crossed Rs 1000 crore worldwide in just a week. Despite fresh competition from Mufasa: The Lion King UI and Viduthalai 2 on the big screen Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the ticket counters. Now after 16 days of release the movie has garnered Rs 14.3 crore net in Hindi. It has maintained strong momentum experiencing only a 10% drop on the third Friday compared to the Rs 14 crore earned on the previous day. The total box office collection now stands at Rs 645 crore. Here’s a breakdown of Pushpa 2’s box office performance: Week 1 Collection: Rs 725.8 crore Week 2 Collection: Rs 264.8 crore Day 16 Collection: Rs 14.3 crore Total: Rs 1004.9 crore The numbers are based on the industry tracker Sacnilk. With such tremendous growth Pushpa 2 is slowly racing towards becoming the third most profitable film. However whether it will surpass Teja Sajjas HanuMan remains to be seen. HanuMan was a small-budget film made for Rs 40 crore and it went on to mint Rs 250 crore at the global box office. Pushpa 2 OTT Release Even before the film was released it was announced that Netflix had acquired the rights. Recently there were rumours that the film would be released on OTT in January but the producers Mythri Movie Makers have put those speculations to rest. They wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday: “There are rumours floating around about the OTT release of #Pushpa2TheRule. Enjoy the biggest film #Pushpa2 only on the big screens this holiday season. It wont be on any OTT before 56 days! It’s #WildFirePushpa only in theatres worldwide.”
