Sam Deeble, the Furniture and Home Interiors Expert at , revealed the key elements that add a special touch to any tablescape.
"For many of us, is the epitome of nostalgia," said Deeble, which is why adding a sentimental piece to the table could make the design uniquely yours.
"Perhaps there is a specific decoration, scented candle, or family ornament that ignites feelings of nostalgia for you," Deeble mused.
To embrace a sense of familiarity, "opt for vintage decorations and traditional festive hues that recreate a classic, nostalgic ".
Deeble is also a fan of having an "artisan" decoration on the table, which has been made by an artist's own hands.
"Embrace this trend with an artisanal garland, uniquely crafted candlesticks, or a personalised festive table runner," Deeble suggested.
Maximalism is also a huge style trend at the moment, which is why larger ornaments "add visual interest" and is "guaranteed to grab guests' attention".
One idea could be to fill a large and wide vase with "Christmas-hued flowers". And all sparkle of the disco era is undoubtedly a Christmas tradition that will go on, and on.
"As Christmas is synonymous with the party season, households are taking inspiration from the disco years to create a glamorous and joyous setting," said Deeble.
He recommended "glitter and sequenced decorations, retro pieces reminiscent of the 70s and 80s party scene, and accessories that incorporate the glamorous tones of the disco era".
Even a regal Christmas centrepiece can be achieved with "vintage ornaments replicating the 19th-century era". Other regal touches could include "a wreath adorned with velvet ribbons, period candlestick holders, and regency-coloured baubles with jewel and soft pastel tones".
