Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee won the hearts of people with her looks and captivated audiences with her performances. Throughout her career Moushumi has worked with various stars including Jeetendra Rekha Mithun Chakraborty Amitabh Bachchan Dharmendra and others. Recently Moushumi opened up about her co-actor Amitabh Bachchan and shared her experience regarding Big Bs rise to stardom. In a conversation with Anandabazar Patrika Moushumi spoke about Amitabhs early struggles that he had to endure in the initial days of his career. She also emphasized that it took every ounce of strength and hard work for Amitabh Bachchan to reach the heights of success. The actress said “Amitabh Bachchan struggled a lot and became big after a lot of hard work. But I won’t say he became big for the better. When you receive so much you behave very differently. You won’t even think about helping others.” Chatterjee also recalled how Amitabh Bachchans life changed and how he started treating others after receiving massive fame. She mentioned that in the earlier days despite his reserved personality Amitabh liked to eat lunch with the hairdresser on set. His brother Ajitabh Bachchan would even arrange a car to ensure the actors smooth transportation to and from shoots. The actress said “His (Amitabh’s) brother Ajitabh used to arrange for a car that would pick up Bachchan from the sets. He used to be a very quiet person sit alone and have lunch with the hairdresser.” Moushumi also shared her experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan in Piku. She expressed her admiration for his discipline and punctuality noting that even at 72 years old he exuded the energy and enthusiasm of a newcomer. “Even at 72 (back in 2015) Amit is like a newcomer. If you ask him to get ready at 6 am he will be ready. He is so punctual and disciplined.” Moushumi Chatterjee and Amitabh have worked in several movies including Roti Kapada Aur Makaan Benaam Hum Kaun Hai? Manzil and others.
