A six foot two inch tall woman has revealed the most ridiculous excuses for dating failures she has received and they will shock you.
Actor and Content Creator Jacki Jing (36) from Los Angeles, California, has been on the receiving end of negativity about her height throughout her life, including bullying at school and as an adult, dating became a nightmare. Jacki was single for five years and she admits she struggled with dating. She said: "I never cared about height and have dated guys from five foot six inches to seven foot. But I definitely think that my height intimidated and made some men feel insecure.”
From being told she was constantly too tall whilst being in a relationship, to being told her height scared the guy she was dating. Jacki has heard it all. She added: "I definitely receive some really strange comments on social media. A lot of comments about 'uppies' and 'step on me' and 'can I see your feet and hands' and 'can you send me a video saying mean things to me'. I think I have struggled with confidence because of my height in the past, but not anymore.

Jacki said that her dating history has been varied when it comes to height, she said: "My height really stopped affecting my dating life because I used it as a filter if you didn't like me or my height, you weren't my person. I've received ridiculous comments when dating, they were just immature and silly. Like singing the 'giant woman' song, referencing Deuce Bigalow, absolutely silly stuff.”
She said: “I think I have spent most of my life trying to make myself small, dim my light so people wouldn't be intimidated, so people would like me. That's not the case anymore. I have dated men shorter than me tons of times, short kings are wonderful, tall kings too. I just say "own what you got."
Jacki did eventually meet seven-foot boyfriend-to-be Dustin when her Dad, playing matchmaker, set them up on a blind date. She said: "I was visiting Hawaii and my father for the holidays, he asked a bunch of people on the island if they knew single, nerdy, gamer guys, and they found Dustin. "Dustin then showed me the island beaches, volcanos, forests, waterfalls, and there was a kindness and gentleness in him that I really admired.”
Jacki said: "He truly was a big friendly giant. And he never brought up my height. I guess there was no need to, everyone is short to him!" Jacki said the moment she realised she was different to others was when she put in the back row for school pictures. She said: “I think a ton of people are intimidated by my height, but I can't bend and break down myself for others to feel comfortable. I have faith that the right, accepting, loving kind people in my life will find me. We will find each other, and the haters can beep off."
Jacki explained how she got into the of TV and content creation and how her height has been a benefit. As a previous news anchor she said she was familiar with shooting and editing and being on camera which helped. She said being tall in certain rooms helped her stand out. She said: “It [her height] got me a full-ride volleyball scholarship, I'm so grateful for that too. My friends and family love my TikTok content and they think it's funny and are proud!I am not hating, just was definitely surprised by some of the commentary."
Jacki said she receives an outpouring of support from her followers. She said: "They just love their tall queen and I love them back. For those who are considering making the content, make the content, let your star shine! you weren't meant to be dimmed, be bright and brilliant baby."
