In a combined encounter between the Punjab Police and Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, three pro-Khalistani terrorists were murdered. The terrorists were sought for their role in an assault on the Punjab Police station in the Gurdaspur district.

Three suspects in the Puranpur region within their control were brought to the attention of the Pilibhit Police by a Punjab Police squad. Following further information concerning the appearance of three guys carrying suspicious objects, the police acted on this tip-off and began an operation.
Early on Monday morning, the accused was detained by the police and an altercation ensued. The three suspects were slain during the operation. Two AK-47 rifles, two handguns, and several live rounds were also taken from them by the police.

Gaurav Yadav, DGP Punjab Police, said on X, previously Twitter, “This terror module is involved in grenade attacks at police establishments in border areas of Punjab.”
“The three module members are engaged in the grenade assault on a police station in #Gurdaspur, and the confrontation between the combined police forces of Pilibhit and Punjab has occurred inside the jurisdiction of PS Puranpur, Pilibhit. For immediate medical attention, the wounded have been sent to CHC Puranpur. The whole terror module is being investigated,” he said.
According to reports, an explosion occurred at an abandoned police station in the Gurdaspur district’s Kalanaur subdivision earlier on Friday morning. There were no injuries or property damage from the explosion, even though there were more police officers in the neighborhood at the time.
