Alexander-Arnold warned off Madrid

has urged Trent Alexander-Arnold to sign a new contract with Liverpool and snub a move to Real Madrid. The Reds icon believes the right-back can earn a place in the club's folklore if he opts to stay.

"If Trent Alexander doesn't care about (how he's remembered) fine, but I think if he stays at the club he'll be remembered as one of the greatest players to ever play for the football club," he told Sky Sports.

"If I was advising Trent, I would say...that a lot of it is the free transfer, but it's that feeling that you're leaving us for (nothing) and where's our money to replace you. I would say sign a contract, have a decent buy out clause in there that'not ridiculous and if Real Madrid want to buy you in twelve months time or two years time."

Wonderkid urged to snub Reds

boss Roger Le Bris has urged wonderkid Trey Ogunsuyi to snub a move to Liverpool. The 18-year-old has already scored 15 goals for the Black Cats’ U-18s and U-21s, with Le Bris keen for him to stay.

“He’s very young and probably Riggy [Chris Rigg], Tommy [Watson] and Jobe [Bellingham] are the best examples to follow in our club. When you move to another club with a very strong squad you have to find the right environment to develop yourself," he said.

“I don’t know. Social media and so on can talk a lot but at the end if we create the right environment and the player, his family and agents are rational, we are in a good place to create the right pathway for him.”

Star issues Liverpool plea

Mathias Kvistgaarden has issued a come-and-get-me plea as he looks to leave Brondby. The Dane scored 14 goals and registered five assists, but despite more than two years remaining on his contract, he has revealed he is ready to move on, naming Liverpool as his dream destination.

“Now it’s about time,” he told the Fjæstid podcast. "I’ve said for many years that I’m happy to be in Brøndby and that I don’t mind being in Brøndby, but now I’m starting to find myself in a situation where I want to go and try something else.

“I’m not specifically aiming for anything, but the dream is of course a top five league. But it’s also about the style of play. My dream club to play for is Liverpool.”
