Terry Bradshaw's expertise was centre stage on FOX NFL Sunday, where his long-standing role as a pundit left no one in doubt of his thoughts on retirement. Colleague Michael Strahan interrupted him as he delved into the career trajectory of Russell Wilson on Sunday's show.

Serving as an analyst for three decades, Bradshaw never shies away from dissecting the latest NFL developments. This past weekend, the 76-year-old was highlighting the talents of Wilson, now spearheading the Pittsburgh Steelers, who currently top the AFC North conference with a compelling 10-5 record, while Wilson boasts a strong 6-2 start.

Despite acknowledging Wilson's impressive tenure with the Steelers, Bradshaw didn't overlook his turbulent times with the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, noting his trade in 2022 followed by an abrupt offseason release.

Reflecting on the impact of such moves, Bradshaw remarked on how such circumstances could dent the confidence of the seasoned 36-year-old quarterback: "How would you like to be a quarterback at Seattle, and everybody in Seattle wants to get rid of you?

"And then you get down to Denver and you realize that the head coach doesn't want you.."

Strahan interrupted his colleague Bradshaw by cheekily drawing parallels to calls for Bradshaw to retire. The pair jested as Strahan referenced the vocal criticism from fans regarding Bradshaw's on-air slip-ups and the clamour for him to step away from the mic.

Strahan joked: "You said something that set you up. You said that's been happening to you for years."

He then swiftly reassured Bradshaw of his valued place at FOX, mentioning the network's affection for the veteran analyst: "That's a lie because we all want you here. We love you here."

Bradshaw, steering the conversation back with humour, diverted: "Anyway, America..." before he lauded Wilson for his contribution to the Steelers' play-off journey, highlighting his resilience amid public mockery: "The humiliation has had an effect on him as a man.

"No more private offices for himself. He's there with Mike Tomlin and he's doing a great job playing Steeler football."

Despite Wilson's commendable performance, marked by 13 touchdowns and only three interceptions, the Steelers were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens, with a final score of 34-17, where Wilson made 22 successful passes out of 33 for 217 yards, two touchdowns, and a single interception.

Lamar Jackson, the Ravens' star quarterback, had an impressive game, completing 15 out of 23 passes for 207 yards and scoring three touchdowns with one interception.

Both teams will be back in action on Christmas Day, with Wilson hosting the Kansas City Chiefs, while Jackson and his team will head to Houston to take on the Texans on Wednesday (December 25).
