Mumbai's off-spinner Tanush Kotian has got a place in the Indian cricket team for the last two Test matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. BCCI took this big decision after R Ashwin retired. Ashwin retired after the Brisbane Test, and now Tanush Kotian has been given a chance in his place. According to reports, this player will fly to Melbourne on Tuesday. Tanush Kotian is also an off-spinner like Ashwin and he also bats in the lower order. Recently, this player also got a chance to play in the unofficial Test series against Australia A.

Tanush Kotian is 26 years old and this player has played 33 first class matches so far. Tanush has 101 wickets to his name. The big thing is that his first class average is more than 41. Kotian has scored 1525 runs in first class cricket and has 2 centuries and 13 half-centuries to his name. Kotian also played for Rajasthan Royals last season, he was made an opener by this team.

Tanush Kotian has been included in the Indian team but the question is whether he will get a chance in the playing eleven? There are very less chances of this because Tanush will reach Australia on Wednesday or Thursday and the fourth test is in Melbourne from December 26.
