A sensational case of human trafficking has come to light in which a lover trapped a teenage girl in a love trap and sold her. The man sold the girl in Rajasthan for Rs 90 thousand. Meanwhile, the family started fearing something bad might happen to their daughter. He lodged a missing report of his daughter with the police on December 10.
Based on the complaint of the family members, the police have recovered the missing girl safely from Rajasthan after 24 days. Seven people, including a father, son and a couple who were involved in the buying and selling of the girl, have been arrested. After interrogation, the accused were arrested and sent to jail.
The entire matter is related to Pannuganj police station area, where a person had filed a complaint in the police station on 10th December and said that his 16 year old daughter had gone away from home without informing on 28th November. On this the police registered a case and started searching for the victim. During the investigation, it came to light that most of the conversations were through one number on the girl's cell phone. When the police traced that number, the name of Sandeep Jaiswal, resident of Patna village of Rampur Barkunia police station area, came up.
Police interrogation revealed that a love affair was going on between the girl and Sandeep. Police investigation progressed and Sandeep's friend Ankit Pandey alias Sonu, resident of Siltham village, has kept the girl at the house of a woman resident of Chopan police station area. Police arrested Sachchidanand Pandey, and alleged Congress leader Namvar Kushwaha and his wife Vimala Devi. Vikram Chandra Saini, resident of Joda Basti, Rampur, Rajasthan, and Kamlesh Jat, resident of Ralawta, who bought the girl by paying money, have also been arrested.
Additional SP Tribhuvan Nath Tripathi told that Sandeep Jaiswal first trapped the girl in his love trap and kidnapped her and kept her in Siltham village of Rampur Barkonia police station for four days. After this, with the help of Chopan resident Vimala Devi, it was sold to Kamlesh Jat and Vikram Singh Saini. After taking 90 thousand rupees, the girl was married to Vikram Singh Saini in Rajasthan. 30 thousand rupees for selling the girl were recovered from the possession of Sandeep Jaiswal and 34 thousand rupees were recovered from the possession of Vimla Devi. Police have arrested all the seven accused involved in this case, both Namvar Kushwaha and his wife Vimala Devi, involved in this gang, are said to be associated with the Congress Party.
