Saudi Arabian football team Al-Nassr has officially responded to transfer rumors regarding Fenerbahce‘s Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri.
The club’s media advisor, Saeed Abu Dahesh, addressed the reports on social media, labeling them as “false information.”
Recent media reports in the Gulf press had suggested that Al-Nassr, which features stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Anderson Talisca, was interested in signing En-Nesyri.
It was claimed that the Saudi club was preparing to submit a higher offer than its previous bid to Fenerbahce and was planning to finalize the transfer during the January window.
According to media reports, Fenerbahce’s leadership was reportedly open to considering the offer due to financial reasons.
Fenerbahce’s poor performance in last weeks led to pressure on the team’s management with many fans calling for Fenerbahce President Ali Koc’s resignation.
After joining Fenerbahce for a transfer fee of €19.5 million ($20.27 million), En-Nesyri initially struggled with adaptation and failed to deliver the expected performances in front of goal, drawing criticism from the fans.
However, the Moroccan star has recently managed to turn things around with impressive displays.
In Fenerbahce’s last eight Super League matches, En-Nesyri recorded four goals and two assists, contributing directly to six goals.
He also scored three goals in six UEFA Europa League appearances.
Known for his aerial dominance, the Moroccan striker has showcased his versatility, scoring both with his head and through skillful strikes, particularly in matches against Kayserispor and Eyüpspor.
