Congress Party has released the second list of 26 candidates for Delhi Assembly elections. The party has made Hanuman Chauhan the candidate from Mangolpuri seat. Sushant Mishra has been fielded from Rithala and Rajendra Namdhari from Moti Nagar seat. At the same time, the party has fielded Farhad Suri from Jangpura assembly seat. This is the seat where Aam Aadmi Party is contesting former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
Talking about the names of other candidates in the second list released by Congress, the party has fielded Satish Lathura from Shakurbasti, Satendra Sharma from Tri Nagar, Asim Ahmed Khan from Matia Mahal, JP Panwar from Madipur seat, Dharampal Chandela from Rajouri Garden, Uttam Nagar. Mukesh Sharma from Cantt, Raghuveer Shokir from Matiala, Devendra Sehrawat from Bijwasan, Pradeep Kumar Upmanyu from Delhi Cantt have been made candidates.
Whereas, Pushpa Singh from Mehrauli, Rajesh Chauhan from Deoli, Harsh Chaudhary from Sangam Vihar, Amardeep from Trilokpuri, Akshay Kumar from Kondli, Sumeet Sharma from Laxmi Nagar, Gurcharan Singh Raju from Krishna Nagar, Rajesh Lilothia from Seemapuri, Haji Mohammad Ishraq from Babarpur. Khan has fielded Pramod Kumar Jayant from Gokalpur and Dr. PK Mishra from Karawal Nagar assembly seat.
The second list of candidates released by the Congress Party for the Delhi Assembly elections includes many Muslim faces. There are three Muslim faces in the second list. Whereas, in the first list, tickets have been given to 3 Muslim and two women candidates. However, there is not a single woman candidate in the second list.
In the first list released by the party, candidates were fielded on 21 seats. If we look at it this way, the party has declared candidates on 47 seats. Assembly elections are going to be held on 70 assembly seats in Delhi early next year. Political parties have entered the fray for the elections. The ruling party has fielded candidates on 70 out of 70 seats. At the same time, BJP has not revealed its cards yet.
Let us tell you that Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are contesting elections separately in Delhi. Earlier, both had contested the Lok Sabha elections in alliance, but are contesting the assembly elections on their own. On the other hand, BJP is already in the field on its own.
