The IPL 2025 mega-auction, which took place in November, was a grand affair and the players earned fat paychecks during the two-day event. Some of the teams revamped their squad while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) decided to retain their core. They re-signed the likes of Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra and also roped in R Ashwin, who played for them from 2009 to 2015.The 18th edition of IPL is set to kick off on March 14 and the fans are eagerly waiting for the T20 league. However, a look at the international calendar puts a question mark over the availability of Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner, Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Phillips and Bevan Jacobs for the first 3 weeks of IPL.The New Zealand cricket team could stay in Pakistan after the Champions Tropyhy (if they qualify for the final) as the Black Caps are scheduled to face the Men in Green in a long white-ball series. The series includes 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs, to be played from March 16 to April 5. Will the IPL-bound players selected for this series miss the start of the T20 league? The likes of Conway, Rachin and others are highly unlikely to miss the start of IPL as the New Zealand Cricket Board always allows it players to skip the Pakistan series for the T20 League (IPL). Earlier in the year, as many as 9 NZ players skipped the Pakistan tour to participate in IPL 2024.There's no doubt that once again, the Kiwis will land in India to be available from the first game of the season. Kane Williamson went unsold in the mega-auction and he is likely to stay in Pakistan.Santner was recently named NZ's white-ball captain and they will have a new skipper in his absence. Tom Latham will be the front-runner to lead the team in his absence. He has never been part of IPL.
