New Delhi: The average Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 369, falling under the "very poor" category as of 4 PM on Tuesday (December 24). This marked an improvement in Delhi's pollution levels, as the AQI had plunged into the "severe" category since December 22. Light rain last night brought some relief from the severe air pollution levels for residents. Additionally, the city has been experiencing light rain over the past two days. This improvement also led to the revoking of GRAP's Stage-IV. However, GRAP Stage I, II, III will continue in the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense fog conditions in the National Capital on Christmas Day, Wednesday (December 25). Additionally, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for fog on Christmas. Today, the maximum temperature is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 9 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity has oscillated between 73 percent and 100 percent.According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the AQI in Delhi's key areas remained in the "very poor" category as of 5 AM on Wednesday (December 25). Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 366, Alipur recorded an AQI of 324, Ashok Vihar recorded an AQI of 373, and other key areas similarly reported AQI levels in the "very poor" category.
