The film 'Deewana' was released in the year 1992. Its lead hero was Rishi Kapoor. The film starts and within a short while the hero is killed. The audience sitting in the theater was not able to understand what would happen next, then a new boy, whose name is Shahrukh Khan, enters with a group riding a bike, waving his hair and talking to the air. This song from this film is 'Deewana Dil Deewana'. Famous singer Vinod Rathod gave voice to this song. Vinod had lent his voice to many actors like Salman Khan, Govinda, Amitabh Bachchan and Jackie Shroff.
Vinod Rathod's songs were also a big hit. There was a time when actors used to fight among themselves for Vinod Rathod's songs. Something similar happened in 'Deewana' also. At that time, Shahrukh Khan was new, but he also clashed with Rishi Kapoor for a song of this film.
Vinod Rathod was so famous at that time that if his song was removed from the film, there would have been an uproar. By 1992, when Shahrukh Khan had not debuted in the industry, Vinod Rathod had become the voice of Rishi Kapoor. In such a situation, it was decided that he would sing for Rishi Kapoor in the film 'Deewana'. Vinod Rathore had also recorded 'Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahi Kahin'. Rishi Kapoor thought that this song would be filmed on him only. Even though Shahrukh Khan was new at that time, he opposed this.
Shahrukh Khan was going to debut with 'Deewana', so he did not want any reduction in his character in this film. Now Shahrukh demanded that the song 'Aisi Deewangi' should be filmed on him. Rishi Kapoor was also not backing down. Now both the actors clashed with each other on this issue. Shahrukh Khan and Rishi Kapoor did not talk for a long time. But then the film's producer Shabnam thought that this would cause disruption in the shooting, so she said that 'such madness' would be filmed on Shahrukh Khan only. Vinod Rathore himself had revealed this in one of his interviews. When the dispute was resolved, 'Deewana' was released in theaters and became a bumper hit. Its songs were also liked a lot.
