1 cup leftover lentils
1 cup wheat flour
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp celery
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
salt as per taste
oil or ghee for frying
1. Prepare the dal: First of all, mash the remaining dal well, so that there are no grains left in it. After this, take wheat flour in a big vessel and add celery, asafoetida, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt and mix well.
2. Kneading the dough: Now add the mashed lentils to the flour and slowly add water and knead the dough. Knead the dough well and keep it covered for some time.
3. Rolling the parathas: Make small balls from the kneaded dough and roll each ball with a rolling pin. Apply some oil while rolling and roll the paratha well.
4. Cooking Paratha: Now heat the pan and put the paratha on it and cook till it becomes golden from both the sides. When the paratha is cooked well, apply oil or ghee on top and bake it again.
