and left everyone stunned as both of them wore matching green coats for the Royal Family's traditional walkabout on Christmas Day.

The Princess of Wales, 42, and the Queen, 77 both twinned as they wore deep green coats with matching hats for a morning service at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate.

The rare moment left many royal fans elated, as Kate and Camilla completed their looks with black gloves, boots and handbags.

Princess Kate popped in a forest green coat with buttons by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen - her wedding dress designer - while Queen Camilla looked festive in a moss green wrap coat as she led the walk to church with King Charles.

One person commented: "The Royal Family going to church and meeting the crowds this morning. Princess Catherine and Queen Camilla both opted for a festive green."

A second person said: "They look really good and I love that colour on The Queen."

Over members of the Royal Family and their guests gathered at Sandringham this year to celebrate Christmas with King Charles.

After their morning visit to St Mary Magdalene Church, they returned to Sandringham House to enjoy a family lunch amidst the sprawling 20,000-acre estate.

Celebrating Christmas at Sandringham has been a cherished tradition since 1988, introduced by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The event follows what Prince William called a "brutal" year for his family, marked by Kate's major abdominal surgery and subsequent cancer diagnosis, which came as the King was also diagnosed with cancer.

In November, William described 2024 as "probably the hardest year of my life" as he reflected on coping with his wife and father's diagnoses.

"It's been dreadful," he shared. "Trying to navigate everything and keep things on track has been incredibly challenging."
