According to reports Baby John did well on its opening day at the box office earning Rs 12.50 crore. This is a strong start for the film especially considering it was released on Christmas Day a holiday that often brings in a good number of viewers.
However the film faced tough competition from Pushpa 2 the sequel to Allu Arjun’s blockbuster hit Pushpa: The Rise. Pushpa 2 was released earlier on December 5 and continued to show impressive box office performance even after weeks in theaters.
Baby John vs Pushpa 2 on Christmas day
On Christmas Day Pushpa 2 earned a massive Rs 16.82 crore proving that it still holds a strong position at the box office. Despite being released earlier Pushpa 2 continues to dominate drawing huge numbers and ensuring its success.
In comparison Baby John though performing decently could not outshine the sustained success of Pushpa 2. While Varun Dhawans fans flocked to theaters for the action film Pushpa 2 maintained its winning streak with strong performances from Allu Arjun.
This battle between Baby John and Pushpa 2 clearly highlights the continuing power of Allu Arjuns Pushpa franchise as it continues to captivate audiences and secure a strong box office position.
